If you or a loved one needs care or support at home, our friendly district nursing staff can come out to you to, seven days a week. We provide a wide range of nursing services to help you maintain a comfortable quality of life in your own home.
Know that our nurses are fully trained, and will respect your individual needs and circumstances when they visit.
Our district nursing service covers most rural areas in the Cardinia Shire, from Pakenham South to Tonimbuk to Heath Hill; and a small area of the Casey Shire, including Tooradin, Blind Bight, Warneet and Cannons Creek.

Hospital in the home
If you receive acute care in hospital, you may be able to return home for your recovery, while remaining an inpatient of the hospital.
Wound management
If you have suffered an injury or have a condition that requires ongoing wound care, it is important that you look after your wound to avoid infection and speed recovery.
Post acute care
When you return home after serious treatment in hospital, we may need to provide ongoing care to monitor your condition and aid in your recovery.
Midwifery
The first days and weeks at home after having a baby can be overwhelming. A home visit from our midwives will help you and your baby get the best start.
Palliative care
If you have a terminal illness or you are providing palliative care for a loved one at home, support is at hand through the district nursing service. Kooweerup Regional Health Service also has a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist who is able to support you and the district nurses.
Continence management
Losing the ability to control bowel or bladder function is not something we like to think about. But if it happens to you or a loved one, you can rely on our district nurses to help.
Foot care
In an ideal world our feet would always be in perfect working order to keep us mobile and active. To help you take care of your feet we provide a foot care service in your home for eligible home and community clients.
