Kooweerup Regional Health Service is a public hospital located approximately an hour’s drive southeast of Melbourne in the rural area of Cardinia Shire. The Medical Advisory Committee meets to verify a General Practitioners Qualifications and medical indemnity coverage when a General Practitioner applies for Clinical privileges at this Facility. Medical Advisory Committee is also responsible to ensure all General Practitioners remain credentialed.
For all Staff upon commencement of employment:
- All Registration and Qualifications are verified.
- References are checked
- All staff must undergo a Police Check.
For all current staff routine checking is undertaken:
- Annual Performance appraisals for all staff.
- Annual competencies for all Clinical Staff.
All Nursing, Medical and other Health Professionals must present their current practicing certificate to ensure they meet registration requirements.
Nursing Staff must present current practising certificate annually.
