Mental health

If you are feeling down, anxious or depressed following the birth of your baby, you’re not alone. Many new mums experience these feelings – and it is important to know that help is available.

Our experienced postnatal psychologist can help you with the many emotional and psychological conditions that can arise following the birth of your baby. She will listen and provide support in a very caring environment, and help you cope during this difficult time.

We encourage you to make contact with us if you think a loved one is suffering postnatal depression, or if you are feeling unusually down following the birth of your own child. Our psychologist will assess and treat within the Early Parenting Unit, or refer on to a specialist when needed.

The Early Parenting Unit is open Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm.
