Foot care

In an ideal world our feet would always be in perfect working order to keep us mobile and active. To help you take care of your feet we provide a foot care service in your home for eligible home and community clients.

Foot care services include:

  • Toe nail cutting
  • Advice on foot care
  • Prevention and treatment of common foot disorders
  • Access and referral to other health professionals for foot care advice and complex treatments.
  • Advice and assistance with good footwear
  • Support and promotion of a healthy lifestyle through good foot care.
  • Falls prevention advice and support.

To be eligible for our home service you need to be 65years or older or younger than 65 with a disability.
If you are not able to meet this criteria and need foot care assistance go to the Podiatrist section of our web site.

Referrals can be by

  • Self –referral
  • Family of friends
  • General Practitioner
  • Other Allied Health Services
  • Other community service groups.

If you are a diabetic or take blood thinning medications your doctor needs to provide your referral.
